It's Never Too Late to Introduce Yourself.
Hello Everyone! My name is Yasmin and I'm in my second year at the University of British Columbia. I created this blog for my first literature class in university and I'm really looking forward to learning something new. I'm currently a science student and have been taking science related courses all throughout high school, so I'm excited to branch off and see other brilliant minds at work without having to use a calculator.
Lets see, I was born in Canada on Vancouver Island, but spent most of my childhood growing up in Kamloops. Both of my parents were born in Pakistan; although, they didn't live there for long. I've been raised in an Islamic household my whole life and as a result I am able to read Arabic, and speak Urdu and Punjabi. It's funny though, because I've grown accustomed to hearing my mom switch between both languages so often that I've forgotten which language is which.
I have one older brother and a younger sister which makes me the middle child. I don't have any pets at the moment. Even though I did spend most of my summer wanting a cat that I never ended up getting. Oh yes, and I did have a pet Oscar that was the size of a finger when we got him, but grew to be the size of my hand by the end of the summer. He died though, due to natural causes.
